I read in the paper the good news about the making up of siti nurhaliza and sharifah aini. I think this is timely as there is nothing both of them hope to gain from this. Both being the entertainers in their special ways.
In fact when I read about the hostility between the two years ago, I find it hard to put the pieces together and to make sense of the situation, I mean, if someone says that Sharifah was jealous of the success of Siti, it seem to make sense, as I think Sharifah's career had been down. However Syarifah Aini had her glory days, well before Siti was able to walk onto the stage.
Perhaps it is a blessing in the blessed month of ramadhan, a month for prayers and charity. My sincere hope is, both of the singers are true to themselves and realize that, it is counter productive to remain in the stage of hostility. The efforts and time out to outdo and outpace, to attack and defend, will not speak well for them.
